Who are we?
Te Rongo Mauri Ki Tawhiti was born from a deep yearning - a calling to reconnect our Māori & Pacific Island rangatahi (youth) to who they are, where they come from and the strength that lives within them.

We are a Waka of Reconnection.

By using sport, wananga, mentorship and community we hope our young people draw closer to deepening their connection to their whakapapa (ancestry), and their sense of belonging.

Through kaupapa, wananga, tikanga and whanaungatanga we create spaces where our rangatahi can stand tall in both worlds - confident in their identity and grounded in their mauri.
